Huadu International Recovery Centre (HIRC) - Christchurch

Planning

Location:33-48 Oxford Terrace, Christchurch Health Precinct

Land Size:1,763 sqm

Architects:Plus Architecture

Project Status:Planning

HIRC is intended to be Huadu’s flagship facility.  We plan to develop this as a long-term investment and are designing it with this in mind.  The curved façade and unique flutes will make this one of the more iconic buildings in Christchurch.

The building is being designed to IL4 Seismic Resistance using full base isolation. It is anticipated to be used partially for medical use, given its location within the Christchurch Health Precinct, and partially as top-end commercial office space, preferably but not necessarily with a medical bias.

Resource Consent for this building is already approved and we plan to commence construction as soon as practicable following approved building consent with construction anticipated to be complete in 2024.

Expressions of interest in space in this building are welcome and will be ideal for medical rooms or clinics, or premium office space set in a prime inner-city location looking north over the Avon River with only a two-minute walk from Riverside Market.

We welcome enquiries from any interested parties.
